L4 Autonomous Driving

The TARS Delivery Robots are equipped with Level 4 Driving Technology, also known as the ‘High Level Driving Automation’ as these Robot Vehicles are designed to drive autonomously on the streets & sidewalks under specific conditions.

With that, TARS Delivery Robots are packed with with advanced technologies & high-end components such as LiDAR, Stereo Cameras & many more devices with extensive programming that play an important role in their daily autonomous operation.

Obstacle Avoidance System

The TARS Delivery Robots are equipped with Obstacles Avoidance Technology to detect obstacles on their paths. Whenever there are obstacles in the way of the robot's path, a new path will be generated to avoid the obstacles autonomously.

With that, the Level 4 autonomy can be achieved with minimal interception from the operator.

Fleet Management & Tele-operation System

Every TARS robot comes with a remote monitoring system that allows the robot operators to monitor the  the status of the robot at all times remotely. The system includes the camera views around the robot, the battery and lid status of the robot, as well as a tele-operation function to move the robot manually.

When tele-operation system is turned on, the autonomous driving system will be taken over by the robot operator's control.

Detection & Recognition System

The TARS Delivery Robots are also equipped with Detection & Recognition System to detect & recognize vehicles along with pedestrians crossing TARS' path. TARS waits for the vehicles & pedestrians to cross its path before continuing the journey.

With that, the Level 4 autonomy in TARS can also detect a person crossing & stop to prevent any form of unwanted incidents.

Wireless-Charging Feature

The wireless charging feature of TARS enables the Robot to perform unmanned charging which saves time & improves efficiency. This is achieved via 2 wireless charging coils, one being on the ground & the latter being in the undercarriage of the robot.

With this, efficiency can be improved in terms of time as the charging process takes up to no more than 3 hours & manpower can be reduced as this process does not require human intervention.
